The Mercedes C63 AMG delivers a mind-blowing cocktail of emotions as it offers a top level of performance and is ready to initiate a drift anytime, taking its driver to dynamics heaven.
However, there is a segment of the market that includes the customers who not only feel the need for speed, but also the need for more. This segment is covered by tuners. One example would be Wimmer RS, which just happens to have a Mercedes C63 AMG modification kit prepared for us, with the car using the Wimmer RS C63 AMG Dunlop Performance name.
The vehicle’s 6.2 liter naturally aspirated powerplant has been upgraded from the factory stock value of 487 hp to 540 hp. To achieve this, the tuning house has installed a new exhaust manifold, improved section tubes and a K&N sports air filter, as well as an ECU remap.
This translates into a list of impressive performance: the super-saloon leaves the 62 mph mark behind in 4.4 seconds, hits 120 mph in 12.6 seconds and keeps on accelerating until 190 mph (308 km/h), when the electronic speed limiter kicks in.
But the power isn’t the only asset of the vehicle, as this also comes with a KW3 Club Sports coilover suspension and a set of Dunlop Sportmaxx GT tires that use a 235/35 R19 size at the front and a 265/35 R19 size at the rear.
“The Wimmer RS C63 AMG Dunlop-Performance took part in the this year Tuner's Grand Prix on the Hockenheimring and made a runner-up finish with its Dunlop high performance tires. The Wimmer C63 AMG Dunlop-Performance has also been invited to the big acceleration and breaking tests „0-300-0“ in Papenburg/Germany,” stated the press release.
