Ladies and gentlemen Porschephiles, prepare to meet a new face of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Did we say "face"? We meant attire, as the main hue of this Rennsport Neunelfer is what sets it apart.
The 700 horsepower toy we have here comes dressed in Willow Green, a Paint To Sample shade that connects the Porscha to its ancestors.
Willow Green has a special place in the Volkswagen and Porsche history books, with the shade having been offered on the 1971-73 VW Karmann Ghia and Beetle, as well as on the 1971-71 Porsche 914.
And the said details is just one of the ways in which the hue amplifies the understated aura of the Neunelfer (admittedly, the 2RS, with its aero-aggressive body, is the least understated model of the range).
"While not having seen this color in person, it certainly has a flat tone in these photos that is characteristic of historic colors. On the spectrum of Porsche colors that you will be familiar with, Willow seems to fall in between Gelbgrun [Yellow Green] and Olive Green," the social media label that brought this Porscha to our attention explains.
While we're at it, here's a Yellow Green 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Package, as well as an Olive Green non-TP example of the GT3.
Looking past the main shade of the Porscha, we'll mention this doesn't sport the Weissach Package, while coming with all-LED headlights that pack black inner graphics.
Perhaps the W Pack was omitted due to aesthetic reasons, as this would've generated a stripe effect.for the frunk lid and the roof - the top is now finished in the same hue as the rest of the car, while the roof sports full carbon look.
And while the Instagram post below, which showcases the Zuffenhausen machine, doesn't allow us to check out the cabin of the car, we can still notice the full bucket seats of the thing.
