The teasers are gone, so come have a look at Williams FW31's official livery for the 2009 season. The full color-scheme for Williams F1's 2009 challenger has been officially presented by the Grove-based team during a media day at their UK headquarters.

The new car features a white-and-light blue livery, which may bring some of you racing enthusiasts out there some resemblance (slight resemblance, we might add) to the race winning car prepared by Frank Williams' team in the mid-90s.

At the same time, Sam Michael's designed FW31 was also introduced with its newly-developed “skate fins”, located on each side of the cockpit, aimed to redirect the airflow easily through to the rear wing. The aforementioned change is part of team's revised aerodynamic package for the upcoming Australian Grand Prix and is to be tested during next week's Jerez test.

Talking about the team's prospects for the new season – as Frank Williams' team is yet to win a race since the 2004 Brazilian Grand Prix – race driver Nico Rosberg revealed he is confident that his team will become a front-runner in 2009. Considering the fact that all teams have started work on their 2009 machineries from scratch – with Williams being one of the few teams to take advantage of, let's say... the rear diffuser design rules – the white-and-blue car might really have a breakthrough year this season.

“The rule changes are a fantastic thing for us, definitely. A really good thing for us. There's no copying to do, nothing. It's just your own ideas. You start from zero, from scratch, like every other team. You have this set of rules and you need to make the best possible car for it,” said Rosberg, as reported by autosport.com from Williams' media session yesterday.

“I'm talking so much about aerodynamics because it's the main things nowadays that decides the performance of an F1 car and I really have faith in the aero department and the rest of the factory also, and I think it's a great chance for Williams as a result,” added Rosberg.
