We knew of the theme park ride inspired by the Fast and Furious saga and its street racing paraphernalia for over a year now. It’s that one of a kind entertainment thing through which Universal Studios wants to materialize the spiritual legacy of this franchise into an exciting ride at its Hollywood theme park.
So what’s new you ask? Well, first of all, the official opening which is set for June 25, and the making of the clip that stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Luke Evans. The footage is both promoting the theme park ride, and explaining how the “exhilarating high-speed chase that exceeds 120 miles per hour” was designed.

Just a short memory refreshment now. The Fast & Furious - Supercharged hydraulic-motion based ride is situated within a 50,000 square foot building. It will incorporate realistic special effects, and state-of-the-art 3D imagery projected on the world’s longest 360-degree screen, spanning nearly 400 foot in length.

It’s a new type of rollercoaster that integrates movie-making specifics if you like. Universal Studios says it will act as the ending segment of the famous Studio Tour tram ride. What should it feel like? “You’ll be engulfed in a world of cutting-edge, hyper-realistic special effects, including 3D-HD imagery projected onto the world’s most expansive 360-degree screens.”

We don’t know about you folks, but we’re a bit bored of Fast & Furious, in fact, tired is the word. Hey, we get it, people like car chases, the smash and bombing stuff, and all the special effects that come with each movie.

Yes, there’s that emotional feeling you somehow find yourself in. But honestly, the almost hysterical marketing campaigns they used to promote the last installment are just too much.
