For most people, buying a new car generally involves heading down to a local dealership and then spending a few hours choosing options and signing paperwork, but Jon Hunt isn’t most people. When it came time to take delivery of his new LaFerrari, the wealthy British property entrepreneur went on an epic road trip across Europe.
Now it’s alright if you don’t know Jon, but there’s a pretty good chance you’ve heard of his son. Even if you’re not a huge rally racing enthusiast, you’ve probably seen professional rally driver, Harry Hunt, making some of the coolest car videos under the YouTube username, TaxTheRich100. Now you see what we’re getting at here.

In the words of Ferrari, Jon Hunt is “one of the great Ferrari collectors,” so it isn’t all that surprising how he went about retrieving the newest member in his Prancing Horse stable. He, his sons and some close friends drove a caravan of Ferraris consisting of a 288 GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo (all except the F40 have starred in Tax The Rich videos) nearly 1,000 miles from London to Modena. If that doesn’t qualify as an epic road trip, we don’t know what does.

Before heading home, he stopped by Ferrari’s Fiorana test track and spent a couple minutes describing his passion for Ferraris. The long trip back to London should be just enough of a break-in for the car that maybe we’ll see a LaFerrari Tax The Rich video soon.

The Tax The Rich videos got hugely popular following the completer thrashing of a Rolls-Royce Phantom, and the series has since gone on to include a rally-style Enzo video, a flaming Jaguar XJ220 burnout and an F50 tug of war.
