Sure, McLaren fans might have already switched their supercar fantasies to higher 765LT dreams, but across the aftermarket realm, its 720S sibling remains a force to be reckoned with.
Born “way back” in early 2017 (that’s like ages ago in the sports car stratosphere), the McLaren 720S replaced the aging 650S as the second all-new model in the company’s Super Series. Produced on a modified carbon fiber monocoque, lighter and stiffer than its predecessor, it also featured a then-new McLaren M840T 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that was officially rated at “just” 710 hp (720 ps, hence the 720S moniker).

Alas, there are way too many legends across the automotive realm to believe that output was not (severely) underrated, and so the nimble and stylish British sports car exerted supremacy over its playing field… for a while. Well, that was at least until something better came along, which prompted McLaren to jump the gun and come up with the bonkers 765LT upgrade. And the rest is OEM history, of course.

Over across the aftermarket realm, though, not all 720S books have been written already. Some of them are just waiting to bring new personalization chapters, like this 1016Industries full widebody McLaren 720S that was uncovered by the good folks over at advanced performance wheel specialist AL13 Wheels Design + Technik. They sure have a British supercar treat to feast our social media eyes upon, as the beast is labeled as an extraterrestrial.

And the ubiquitous “out of this world” look is not coming courtesy of just 1016Industries’ expert widebody aerodynamic kit craftsmanship, as AL13 also has a significant contribution with those gloss brushed D010 monoblock wheels. Even better, the details are surely the icing on the cake for this build project – from the massive deep-dish atmosphere of the rear wheels to the copious amount of contrasting, exposed carbon fiber parts that provide a sporty contrast against the stylish white paintjob.
