Widebody Huracan F1 Car Prank by Jon Olsson Looks Delicious

We didn't have time to check out all the April Fools jokes that came out this year. However, this one is so well done that it's not even a joke. As some of you may know already, Jon Olsson is planning to do crazy stuff to his Lamborghini Huracan V10 supercar. He took to Instagram recently to show how the car had been stripped of all its body parts.

On April 1st, he "revealed" the direction the project was headed in with a rendering of an F1-style Huracan that had a huge wing at the back and externally mounted tires. It looked positively delicious, but we knew it was too good to be true and recognized the handiwork of one of our favorite renderers.

YasidDESIGN's style perfectly matches that of pro skier Jon. In fact, when Yasid published an i8 Shooting Brake with a roof box, we immediately made the connection.

Today, Olsson took to his personal blog and revealed everything was a prank. According to him, the "mutant" Lamborghini Huracan would be 2.7 meters wide, making it wider than a full-sized trunk and not the perfect everyday car.

When a millionaire says he might make it happen if he ever wins the lottery, that's when you know it's time to give up on the dream of a Huracan-based F1 car. Sad, right?

"We have however spent most of our time on the who actual versions of the Huracan, which of one I will show you guys a little teaser of pretty soon. It's crazy how much time the car stuff has started to take up for me; I am such a sucker for details, so everything has to be perfect, extreme and always something fresh," the extreme sportsman says on his blog.

Apparently, not even he understands how creating crazy cars has become part of his job description. But it generates extra exposure for him and the companies he works with. At the end of the day, dreaming how to tune your 610 horsepower supercar can't be that bad.
