You’ve seen countless renderings, but now’s the time for the C8 Corvette to receive a proper widebody kit. A "full custom auto shop and carbon-fiber and fiberglass parts manufacturer,” Sigala Designs is much obliged to present the C8RR.
The 32-part package is available to preorder, but no pricing information has been announced so far. The renderings in the photo gallery preview the real deal that’s scheduled to roll out this fall, and frankly, the C8RR widebody kit suits the C8 Corvette like a hand in glove. Or should it be a gauntlet?
Sigala Designs starts off by adding vents to the front hood, extensions to the front bumper and lip, and twin extensions from the front splitter. The widebody fenders are complemented by new side skirts, side splitters, and widebody quarter panels in addition to a rear diffuser and bumper that accommodate center-exit exhausts.
Rear winglets, the three-piece Hi Rise Wing, the RR roof and RR halo, RR hatch extensions, and engine vents pretty much sum up the C8RR. Bear in mind, however, that Sigala Designs doesn’t mention a thing about the aftermarket exhaust system, the wheels, brake calipers painted to resemble the Mexican flag, or the LED strips.
Penned by parts designer and owner Ernie Sigala, the widebody kit is joined by a few other C8 Corvette upgrades that are readily available. The Stingray emblem on the rear deck in carbon fiber? That would be $139.99, thank you!
Carbon fiber is also used for the engine cover moldings ($279.99), engine cover ($549.99), mirror caps ($549.99), front-bumper grille insert bezels ($999.99), A-pillar mirror triangle bezels ($349.99), as well as the quarter-panel and door moldings ($799.99 and $799.99, respectively).
If you think about it, Sigala Designs is pretty good value for money. If you buy the CF grille inserts from Chevy, you'd have to pony up $2,095 for them. The mirror caps in visible carbon fiber retail at $1,145, and that's that.
While on the subject of pricing, how much do you think the C8RR will cost?
