Widebody 2020 Toyota Supra Is Actually a TVR Griffith

"Fake" 2020 Toyota Supra Is Actually a TVR Griffith 1 photo

In today's information-overload world, an aficionado might perhaps be forgotten for quickly swiping past this rendering and believing the pixel play portrays a 2020 Toyota Supra and there are at least two reasons for this.
First of all, from this angle, the 2019 TVR Griffith, which is the actual topic of the rendering, actually resembles the Mk V Supra, which is only normal given the proportions of the two sportscars.

Secondly, the Internet is bombarded with tuning projects based on the Japanese machine these days and many of these will make their debut at next month's SEMA show in Las Vegas (the venue opens its gates on November 5).

Returning to the Griffith, it's not that strange to see digital artist Timothy Adry Emmanuel targeting the British machine. After all, the second-gen Griffith marks the rebirth of the British brand, but its market arrival has been pushed back to 2020.

Despite the machine having made vawes online (vlogger Shmee150 even decided to buy one), we'll have to wait for the next half of next year, with the delay being caused by legislation.

You see, the Welsh government still owns three percent of the carmaker and with Brexit still suspended, the automaker had to follow the European Union ruled on state-funded companies. As such, the automaker has to accept EU-wide bids for renovating its factory, which is obviously a time-consuming process.

After introducing the new Griffith in 2017, TVR announced that while the first year of production will see around 500 cars being born, the annual output would eventually rise to 2,000 units and here's to hoping we'll get to see this beast on the street.

For one thing, we're looking at a go-fast melange involving ingredients such as advanced aero solutions, a Ford-based, Cosworth-built 500 hp naturally aspirated V8 and a brutish design that captures one's imagination with ease.
