Widebody 2020 Audi RS6 Looks Like Jon Olsson's Lost RS6 DTM

Just when I though the 2020 Audi RS6 craze was starting to lose its momentum (one can only stare into those gaping intakes for so long), I came across this rendering of a seriously modded example. And this isn't your average pixel play, since the whole thing is inspired by a machine that's famous in the tunner community.
As those of you who are kept awake at night by customization projects might have already noticed, this is a reincarnation of Jon Olsson's RS6 DTM (more on this below).

After all, only a freestyle skier would put a ski box on top of this Avant (that's Ingolstadt talk for "wagon"), while gifting it with fat fenders and a front splitter that can actually serve as a snow plow.

Who knows? Perhaps some eccentric afficioando out there will be passionate enough to recreate the lost Audi. Which brings us to the said story of the original.

You see, after having its way with the RS6, a process that involved dialing that twin-turbo V8 to 950 horses, Jon sold the car in order to move on to even crazier projects, which ranged from a Rolls-Royce Wraith, a Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4 Squared Cabriolet and a Batmobile to... another RS6, with all of them packing serious mods.

Alas, the new owner of the car was the victim of an armed robbery (fortunately, nobody was hurt) and while the thieves grabbed the car, they didn't also get the key.

Of course, this meant that, once the engine would be turned off, it couldn't be brought back to life. Thus, the robbers drove the machine to a remote location and torched it, probably in an attempt to remove evidence.

So perhaps the said eccentric aficionado should be Jon himself - as you'll be able to notice in the comments section of the Instagram post portraying the contraption (the first one below), I've already popped the question to him.
