Why You Should Secure Your Gear when Recording Supercars

More and more video and audio gear is strapped to our bellowed supercars, as people try to offer us delicious pieces of go-fast footage. We are here now to show you what happens when the aforementioned gear submits to the massive G forces developed by these machines.
The adjacent video shows us an external microphone backflipping off the rear apron of a Ferrari 458 Italia. The mic had been installed since the recording quality of the GoPro Hero 3 is not exactly top class, but at some point during the ride, it just said “screw this, I’m going home!”

You can see the thing detaching itself from the Ferrari and flying away to recording gear heaven in the clip below.
