We've seen so many movies with guys trying all sorts of backyard stunts without wearing a helmet and we will never stop wondering how lucky most of them are to walk away with just some loose teeth or so. Now, this movie is a text book example of how much of a difference can a helmet make.
Try to imagine the outcome of this stunt went wrong with the Knievel-wannabe wearing nothing but hair mousse instead of a full-face motorcycle helmet... Not the nicest of sights, is it? You can show this movie to those friends of yours who still think that wearing a helmet is some sort of compromise they make... and have then imagine the same scenario.
The guy is alright, though pretty shaken from the violent head-on crash, and has probably learned that when a bike jump goes wrong one must not cling to the bike. And yes, wear a damned helmet!
