Who Needs ID, When You Have Vanity Plates?

‘Tell me what your vanity plate says, and I’ll tell you who you are.’ Actor Vinnie Jones (former football player) was spotted yesterday driving his Range Rover on the streets of Hollywood, wearing his name on his license plates.

According to dailymail.co.uk, the words ‘UK VIN’ were spelled on his vanity plates, giving straight clues about who’s driving the black SUV. Driving right behind him, in a black Jaguar, was his wife, Tanya. It seems the vanity plates trend runs in the family, since Tanya also had ‘UK TANYA’ spelled on her car's plates.

Vinnie, also known by the nickname ‘The Axe’, started his career as a professional footballer, playing in the English Premiership. He leapt to fame when a photographer snapped him "marking" Newcastle United's Paul Gascoigne by grabbing his testicles during a match. He has played for Wimbledon, Leeds United, Sheffield United, Chelsea, and Queens Park Rangers.

He made his first acting appearance in the British comedy/thriller ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’ (1998, directed by Guy Ritchie) at the age of 33. It was for this movie he got awarded 'Best Actor' at the Odeon Audience Awards and ‘Best Debut’ at Empire Magazine’s “The Awards 1999”.

Vinnie and his wife Tanya are often seen together in public. However, having their name imprinted on their license plates, riding in convoy in Hollywood, that’s one lousy undercover, if you ask us. The couple was basically asking for celebrity recognition. Hey, Vinnie! If the vanity plates doesn’t work, try putting LED’s on the car that say ‘I R FAMOUS’. Maybe that will attract the fans.
