We don’t know it the global demand for ambulances and other white service vehicles is to blame, but according to a study conducted by PPG Industries, one of the world’s top providers of automotive paint, white is now the preferred color for new cars. We have long noticed this trend in supercars, but we’d never have thought that executives would ever ditch silver and black.
PPG says that 21 percent of 2011 model year cars across the world were sold in white, while silver and black are now tied for second place with 20 percent. This means that just these three account for two thirds of total sales.

It’s much the same order in the US, but Europe still prefers black, as 26 percent of the cars sold there were this shade. Meanwhile, in Asia silver is the most sought-after tone.

We have to remember that all these tones can be sub-divided into others, so it’s never going to actually be a sea of the same color on the road.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
