Ever wondered what keeps people like Terry Grant ahead of the pack? Many stunt drivers know their way around spinning a car, for instance, but the Brit knows when it's time to step up his game and deliver that something extra.
This is precisely what happened over the weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where Terry put on a monster show. We're all used to seeing the man abusing the hell out of his little stunt car, so, on certain occasions, it almost feels like he's cheating by turning to his usual ride.
Well, Terry upped the ante by offering a lucky passenger the shotgun ride of his life. Once again, we're used to seeing skilled and courageous stunt drivers leaving their cars spinning while they step outside for a few moments.
However, the British sliding star left his passenger alone in the TVR Tamora he had chosen for the shenanigan - while checking out the exterior view of the episode, it's not exactly easy to keep the mind from running wild and imagining this is a left-hand-drive sportscar whose spinning driver has a crazy passenger.
And to make things even spicier, the Tamora came with all the right mods for a spinning show, such as the brutish hydraulic handbrake lever sticking out the center console.
Then again, Terry had to raise the bar somehow. After all, this year's FoS was nothing short of a drifting frenzy. From Formula Drift drivers reaching barely believable slip angles to a Kamaz Dakar truck, drifting was the actual name of the game. We even witnessed a massive control loss episode, as ex-Stig Ben Collins left his right foot rest on the gas pedal of the 2017 Raptor for too long, spinning in the blue collar velocity beast in the wet.
Still, the "straight line" action that took place at Goodwood wasn't exactly disappointing...
