When Was the Last Time You Saw a Ferrari Rolling Without a Door?

Today we're in the mood for questions and we wanted to ask you when was the last time you simply felt like you had to remove a door off your Ferrari before heading out for a drive.
Sure, that question might seem like it's coming from Wrong Pills land, but the video below explains everything. We're dealing with a weight reduction parody, one that also involves Lamborghini's Superleggera diet.

While this is a mere joke that won't bring any kind of trouble, there are times when supercar producers sacrifice everything in the name of weight reduction and it hurts.

Given the theme, we'll use Ferrari as an example, zooming in on the 458 Speciale. Sure, the track-savvy incarnation of the 458 might be some 200 lbs (90 kg), but as we found out during our review, the usability has been sacrificed in the process.

For instance, the thicker windows, as well as the Lexan rear panel, mean the Speciale's soundproofing makes it tiring to drive on the road. That's quite a pity, since acquiring one of these Prancing Horses for circuit use only seriously limits the supercar's appeal.

And when we're talking about a Ferrari that signals the end of an era, that matters. The 458 Speciale is the last naturally aspirated V8 from Maranello. Delivering 605 hp, the 4,497cc V8 holds the specific power output (atmospheric) production car world record. And you can fully feel Enzo's spirit inside this engine.

This is also the last model that saw the company being run by Luca di Montezemolo, with Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne currently handling the company, as well as its stock market listing process.

P.S.: If the Ferrari-Mustang mashup Easter Egg in the clip sees you raising an eyebrow, you should check out the second video below. Hit the "play" button and you'll understand everything.
