When an 1,400 HP Koenigsegg Agera R with One:1 Turbos Goes Drifting

Over the past decade or so, more than one big name involved in the World Power War has waved the white flag, but the suck-squeeze-bang-blow hostilities are fiercer than ever.

For instance, while Lamborghini may have told us it will focus on reducing weight instead of upping the ante on the power front in its race for performance, companies such as Koenigsegg continue to deliver octane monsters that get more and more powerful by the year.

But what happens when an internal combustion behemoth such as the Agera R reaches its limit? Sure, 1,140 hp may sound like enough to most aficionados, but the owner of the Angelholm machine in the clip below begged to differ.

Well, if you want to tune your Koenigsegg, you'll have to turn to... Koenigsegg, but fret not, the Swedes will be thrilled by such requests. In the case of this Agera R, the engineering genies of the K marque fulfilled the customer's extra muscle wish by gifting the machine with the twin-turbo setup from the One:1.

Since the One:1, which was only produced in seven examples, packs variable-geometry turbos, the 5.0-liter V8 at the middle of the car jumped to 1,400 hp, which means this Agera R is now slightly more powerful than a One:1, though still not as light.

Those of you who keep an eye on our Koenigsegg stories might be familiar with the car, since we first showed it to you at the beginning of the month.

Nevertheless, we're back on the topic since the track footage we gave you back then didn't include any drifting - what good is such an output without a few sideways moments? And with the custom, ADV.1 wheels of the hypercar, the attention magnet effect is guaranteed.

Check out the clip below to see the boosted Koenigsegg letting the tail out on The Netherlands' TT Assen Circuit.
