When a Megane RS Driver Performed Facial Surgery on His Car after a 'Ring Crash

Usually, when Adenauer Forst (Adenauer Forest) becomes a problem from a Nurburgring driver, it's because the S-type bend surprises the one behind the wheel, with most novices ending up understeering their way onto the grass section on the exterior of the bend.
Nevertheless, this wasn't the case with the man behind the wheel of the Renault Megane RS in the clip below, as hot hatch never got to Adenauer Forst in one piece. The beginning of the footage shows us the Megane smashing its rear end against the barrier on the side of the track, but the initial impact, which tore the nose of the car apart, isn't visible.

However, once the panic moment is over, the driver pull over on the grass (not the safest move) to evaluate the damage. With the face of the supercar being all over the place (read: torn apron and hanging headlights), something had to be done.

Aided by another Nordschleife aficionado, the driver decides to cut his loses and goes for a plastic surgery move. The man painfully removes the shattered apron, finally fitting it into the trunk of the Renault - the helper drove a BMW M4 and decided to lend a hand (and a foot) to the unfortunate Megane RS guy.

Alas, the apron wouldn't go down without a fight, so the two had to struggle to remove it. Once this part of the surgery was completed, the headlights were forced back in place, with Megane then slowly pulling away.

There's more than one lesson to be learned here. For instance, the front-wheel-drive nature of the Renault Megane RS does make the car awesomely forgiving, but it doesn't turn it into a mistake-proof machine.

In fact, if you can't afford to fix a crash like the one seen here, you'd better not hit the 'Ring in the first place.
