What the Sport Button On the 2014 Toyota Corolla Does

The 2014 Toyota Corolla S has something special to attract younger buyers now - a Sport mode button.

Unlike the gearbox S setting found on the LE and LE Eco trims, the Corolla S has an individual Sport button located on the central console, next to the gear shifter.

When you press the Sport button, four things happen: a SPORT mode indicator shows up on the dashboard, throttle response is increased to help you accelerate faster, the CVT programming changes to let the engine rev more and the electric assisted steering adjust to make it feel sportier.

To deactivate the Sport mode, either press the button again or stop the engine, next time you start it, you’ll be in normal mode.
