Every time a smaller automaker reveals plans to double and triple its sales in a few years, we get this strange feeling that they’re overly ambitious. It’s like seeing baby kittens trying to kill a large bulldog... it’s never going to work like they think.
The answer is usually branching out into niche markets, like smaller budget sedans, coupe-looking SUVs and hybrid all-wheel drive systems. All that’s fine and dandy, but the best selling vehicle in the world isn’t particularly fast, refined or for that matter new.

Yes, the Pickup is the perfect money maker. America buys, sports pickups, luxury pickups, family pickups and uber-pickups that can tow the Statue of Liberty.

If you’re thinking that Volvo can’t bully it’s way in, might we remind you that’s what Toyota and Honda did. So, without further ado, here’s what the XC90 would look like as a pickup.
