Remember the mean, green spot of color that made the New York Auto Show a friskier place? Well, it also touched the hearts of all petrolheads and Honda fans out there, but these renderings can trigger a heart attack.
Indeed, we're talking about the Honda Civic Concept, a prototype promising to spawn Civic's 10th generation. It will have the engine developed in the United States, but more than that, a hardcore R-Type version will share its DNA.
Upon hearing the before-mentioned news, some of us couldn't bear the excitement and came up with their own Honda Civic Type-R. As renderings, of course.I personally couldn't help but notice the devilish back end, with those devil horn-shaped LED taillights and the quad exhaust similar to what the Chevrolet Corvette C7 sticks in its rivals noses after overpassing them just because it can.
Moving towards the front, it's pretty obvious how Wild-Speed and CivicX drew inspiration from the recently launched Honda Civic Concept but also managed to give an overall aura that mixes styling cues of a BTCC touring car and a rally racer.
Now, take a good look at these Civic Type-R renderings and consider that Honda officials made it loud and clear that the new Civic will pe epic. Sure, they all do that nowadays and we don't want to undermine their credibility, but if the standard Civic is worthy of such a description, the Type-R based on it could go Barney Stinson on petrolheads because it would be legen...wait for it...dary.
