What If Santa Claus Actually Drove a Ferrari? Here’s a 458 Answer

Every year, people all over the suck-squeeze-bang-blow community seem to be determined to retire Santa’s sleigh and replace it with one of our beloved supercars. Heck, even Jaguar did that, showing Londoners an ice sculpture version of their F-Type (naturally renamed F-Sleigh). But what if Santa were to actually use a supercar?

First of all, and we’re sorry to spoil this for you, there’s no such thing as Santa Claus. As a result, if we want to find the world’s favorite gift delivery man, we’ll have to go searching on YouTube, where people pull all sorts of crazy tricks in their quest for views.

We’ve already done that and it didn’t take long to come across a Santa-in-a-supercar clip. The chosen machine? This is not difficult to guess - the guys who came up with the video below simply had to go with Ferrari, and since the 458 Italia is the most accessible one, this was their choice. We’ll have to rant a little bit and explain that a Spider would’ve been much close to the open cockpit of Santa’s sleigh.

As expected, both the 458’s strengths and weaknesses surface during Santa’s quest to use the Prancing Horse in his gift-delivering adventure.

For instance, the 458 can be as easy to drive as a Fiat 500 when inside the city, obviously with the exception of the visibility factor. As a result, Santa would have no issue with getting around town in this Fezza, at least when the weather is dry.

As for the less pleasant part, the obvious luggage capacity issues shared by most supercars don’t fail to appear here. Perhaps a roof box would help, as alpine ski race Jon Olsson has shown on his supercars. Then again, that would require elves for the installation, which would probably make for another YouTube video.
