That time of the year when everything is pumpkin flavored is just around the corner. Of course, some already started the feast and you can already get a feel of how ludicrous things are bound to get even though Halloween is still two weeks away.
The people in Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania are already feeling the spirit of the pagan holiday and hosted their tradition Pumpkin Fest this weekend. If you’re not familiar with this event, all you need to know is that every year they drop a massive pumpkin on top of a vehicle of sorts.
This year, the ‘victim’ was an older van that was probably used by the postal service or some delivery company before being abandoned. It makes no difference though, because the opponent it’s going up against is going to totally crush it.
That’s right, we’re talking about a 1,200 lbs (544 kg) pumpkin that would very much obliterate most of the cars on the road, let alone an old van that’s probably barely running (if it’s running at all).
In order to do things in the traditional way we’ve been getting used to, the organizers lifted the ‘thing’ up to 120 feet (around 37 meters) for maximum damage. Can you imagine what happened next? You don’t really have to, just click play in the video below.
