The UEFA Euro 2016 is underway, and 24 of Europe's national teams are battling it out for the chance to win the title. Actually, it's more like five or six of them, since the rest are just hoping not to make a fool of themselves when playing against those few favorites.
But if history has tough us anything is that everything can happen in football, so why shouldn't Romania or Northern Ireland hope for the greatest miracle since that time the Red Sea was separated in two and think about winning the trophy? Have you watched the "Slumdog Millionaire" movie? You just need all the planets in this Universe to align, a pigeon to drop something on all the players and, finally, some divine intervention. But it could happen.

While the players are busy chasing a ball on a green field, some other people were busy finding an answer to a question that was also conceived by them: what cars would the teams use and how would they modify them to strike fear into their opponents hearts?

The exercise was carried out by the guys at carwow.co.uk, who put together a list of ten nations and their most representative brand, even though in some cases (Germany, anyone?) choosing just the one is a nearly impossible task. And yet they did it, and then some. Not only are you going to see some nicely photoshopped images (like these) of the cars in each of their nation's colors flanked by the most representative players, but Carwow also included a short explanation for its choice. In some cases - Romania, Northern Ireland, the Czech Republic, Spain or Russia - the reason was a very simple one: there wasn't much to choose from as these countries have only one car brand in total, but for the others, the process is a little more complex.

And yet you wouldn't expect anything else but a Ferrari for Italy, right? As for France, it would be a shame not to use the Bugatti Chiron, even though the brand is now owned by Volkswagen. And when given the choice between Volvo and Koenigsegg for Sweden, what would you have chosen? That's right, always the supercar.
