For some strange but pleasing reason, Audi’s RS folks don’t like to pimp out their brand for the sake of extra sales. While BMW and Mercedes are going to make hot versions of every one of their cars, Audi only has a few: RS3, TT-RS, RS Q3, RS4 wagon, RS5 coupe and convertible, RS6 wagon and RS7. That’s it!
On desperately needed hot model perhaps is at the very top of the range, where the A8 sedan only goes up to a 500-and-a-bit horsepower S8 model. That 4-liter V8 is quite similar to the the 560 hp monster in the RS7, but German tuning firm MTM chose to do more… much more.
650 Hp and 800 Nm is what they found it could offer. 0 to 100? 4 seconds. Price? Just a smidgen really… €155,000.
