For those of you who missed the art classes back in High School, we’ll mention that Magnum Opus regularly refers to the largest, and perhaps the greatest achievement of an artist. In this case, it’s the brainchild of one of the few carmakers alive from Wasteland who creates a car for Mad Max. We're talking about the video game, of course.
Sure, most of us just associate the saying with “great work”. And that’s precisely what the folks over at West Coast Customs managed to put together when Avalanche Studious commissioned them with this apocalyptical ride.

To put the monster to life they used a Maverick and a Ford Ranger, combining the two together to get an off-road, mean type of feeling. We’re not looking to spoil it for you, so we’re only going to say the documentary below is worth watching at least up until the engine starts.

Now, leaving the specifics aside for a second, you’ll also want to know this vehicle visited Wasteland, a place where only people reenacting the Mad Max apocalyptical world can get in. With this occasion, owner of West Coast Customs, Ryan Friedlinghaus, and a couple of his friends joined the video game makers and formed a small club of mad-cars.

We're wondering if the Magnum Opus will also be there at this year’s Wasteland Weekend, which is an annual Mad Max fan club meeting that takes place starting September 24 through September 27. Organizers describe it as “4-day post-apocalyptic Mad Max-style party in the California desert,” and we can’t find a better place where for the car to be.

Sure, there’s also a lot of PR chit-chat to the documentary, but we figured it was worth sharing at least for the showcasing part. Again, the sound of this beast is what makes it Mad Max-worthy.
