Feeling the warm summer air around us when riding is definitely one of the things us, motorcyclists love best when it comes to a two-wheeled outing. However, deciding to leave the riding gear at home is the shortest way to serious injuries in case things don’t go as planned, and we come off the bike. For those who like the freedom not wearing a motorcycle jacket offers, but who also value their skin and would rather not have to deal with grafts, here’s Crave AXE 2 Kevlar Shirt.
Back in the day we reported about Kevlar-reinforced hoodies, so here’s one more piece of protective gear that’s at least as cool. Surely, it will not shield a rider as well as leathers or Cordura jackets would, but it puts a layer of ultra-strong Kevlar-armored fabric between your skin and the asphalt, and in many cases this can make a huge difference.

The Crave AXE 2 Kevlar Shirt is comes with a 3-layer construction, comprised of the external fabric and the comfort lining with the Aramid Kevlar abrasion-resistant layer sandwiched between them. Level 1 and 2 shoulder, elbow and back protectors can be inserted in the special pockets of this shirt for even more protection, while personal stuff, such as wallet, phone and the like of those can be stored in other dedicated pockets.

This shirt is made from polyester and lycra material with good ventilation, but also comes with arm-pit zippers for extra ventilation when riding in hot weather. The AXE 2 Kevlar Shirt looks quite cool by itself and can even be worn under the motorcycle jacket in colder climate. However, one can only hope the buttons are also strong enough to keep the shirt in place when the going gets tough, as it’s been more than once when we’ve seen loosely-strapped armor moving from its place and allowing asphalt to work its dark magic on riders’ skin.

Now, staying cool and protected doesn’t come cheap, so you’ll have to fork out €299 ($410) for the Crave AXE 2 Kevlar Shirt. Seen on motorbiker
