The 2013 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS Adventure sports all the features one will find in the standard motorcycle, but comes with some touring-oriented enhancements which raise a bit the price. If you're a Suzuki fan and feel like spending some $1,500 more on these accessories, all is fine. However, a more detailed search on the web might turn some interesting results at lower prices.
Basically, the Adventure version comes with a vario-touring windscreen, which can be a valuable addition for longer rides, in care you're not tall enough to get all the wind in your face (as it happened in some cases).

Another nifty addition is the aluminium pannier set with embossed Suzuki logo. They look much like Touratech boxes so we know they don't come cheap. These side cases also come with multiple flypoints to attach a lot of gear and they're extremely useful. The crashbars are also a nice addition to the standard V-Strom.

But there's no bach plate, and this leaves the exhaust line and oil filter exposed. We expected an “adventure” version to have at least something there. However, the oil radiator is no longer right behind the front wheel, and that's a plus. Still more of a street bike than an off-road one, the 2013 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS Adventure is a a nice choice if you're not planning to run fast into boulders. Base price at $9,999 (€7,696).
