A 1930s built Ford Five-Window Coupe Hotrod was recently spotted in Dubai. Wait, what? Come on, say it, it starts with a “what the h” and ends with an “eck?”...
It’s not a very late April Fools joke, honest! It just seems that some dude from Dubai lost his mind and, instead of purchasing a gold plated Lambor-Bentley-Something, has ordered a custom classic Ford hotrod. Maybe the guys from ZZ Top are having a show over there and Dusty Gibbons built himself a new car. Or maybe the Mayans were right, but we just got the date wrong and the end of the world was set for today.
Whatever the case, this “arrest me” red-painted five-window Ford looks to be in tip top shape and, to our surprise, it’s finished in a bold and yet decent style, with not too much chrome trim to spoil it all up. It has the typical chromed rims and the low ground clearance, while the tall front grille gained the car’s body color, a detail you don’t see every day. It’s basically clean and neat and it’s probably got a lot of HP under the bonnet.
Hoping there’s no gold-plated engine powering the rear wheels and no diamond-coated dashboard in the cabin, we have the guts to say that this is one of the coolest Dubai-spotted cars we’ve seen in a very long time.
