Writing about all sorts of BMWs and their owners will sometimes leave you stunned. You never know what you'll find next and get ready to have your stomachs cringe, reading the next lines.
One BMW E39 M5 owner was living the dream a lot of us are having. What dream? The one in which we own an old-school, high-revving, naturally aspirated 4.9-liter V8 from BMW's M division, together with the rest of the car.

That engine was not only a joy to drive but also an even bigger joy to listen and rev up. However, this man decided that the maintenance cost of such a car was too big and vowed to bring the costs down as much as possible.

Furthermore, he wanted more power on his beautiful car, so he went for a turbocharged Toyota Supra engine, more exactly a 2JZ. That was a dumb move, as far as we can tell.

Sure, to get the M5 over the 500 WHP he had to spend a lot more money, but at least he would've kept the Bavarian DNA intact. What's he going to do with the car now? Who wants a legendary BMW E39 M5 with a 2JZ engine? The answer is: no one!

No matter how well the 2JZ deals with the car's chassis it simply destroyed this car, making it a horrible hybrid that we hope we'll never see again.
