Webber Thinks Remaining Tracks Benefit Brawn

As Mark Webber gets prepared for the qualifying and race at Spa-Francorchamps, he declared he sees the remaining tracks favoring BrawnGP's cars.

Webber believes Brawn will be strong in Singapore and Abu Dhabi and reckons that if the end of the season would have been comprised of tracks like Silverstone and the Nurburgring - which he thinks advantage Red Bull's F1 cars - the battle for first place would've looked different.

But with only 20.5 points behind Jenson Button in the championship standings, the Australian will still have a go at the title. However, Webber remained aware of the fact that his rival needs only two victories to secure his 2009 driver's title.

"It's certainly not impossible, but it's going to be tough. If we had the middle section of the races to the end of the year, we'd be saying we'll give it a little nudge. But it's going to be hard. It's not an excuse - we capitalised when the tracks suited us. But there will always be pressure on the driver leading until he has won it," said the Australian.

Webber pointed out the fact that this year the cars appear too track sensitive and that you can't have a winning car for every circuit's characteristics and demands.

"It's venue dependent. That's why it is see-sawing so much. And the cars are sensitive to track temperatures," added Mark.

"This year has been sensational for me, with four podiums, some good finishes and more weekend's where we've extracted the most from the car," concluded the Australian thankful that this season he has a car to challenge the podium instead of a car that needs to be brought up to date.
