I know that for some guys there is not proof strong enough to convince them that wearing a motorcycle helmet DOES save your life in a multitude of situations. Even so, I will never cease to advocate wearing a helmet while on the roads, on two or three wheels, knowing my mission is accomplished if I can convince at least one rider that helmets are a good thing.
And when it comes to new riders or people whose riding skills are poor, to say the least, I’d say riding without a helmet is simply asking for it. This video is yet another proof that when luck runs out and mindless riding takes over, having the head protected by a helmet is a really good thing.
Now, skipping the completely stupid way this lady turns, without the slightest concern that she might be hit or run over by the cars, she was really lucky. I’ve watched closely this video time and again and seeing how hard she hits her head against the asphalt makes me believe that this would have been her final ride in case she hadn’t worn the lid.
The Internet is full with ogrish photos of cracked skulls and splattered brains and honestly, I can hardly think of a better incentive to wear a helmet while riding. At the same time I just know some won’t simply not have it that way…
