Making a Lego kit that looks accurate of a new car is a perfect way to celebrate its arrival. Bugatti went nuts with its full-scale Chiron. But we like our toys to be small enough to... you know... play with. And that's the case with the Lego kit for the Suzuki Jimny.
Now, Lego can't be bothered to make a kit of every new car out there. But fortunately, the community around this brick-based hobby is so brilliantly large that there's money to be made in independently designed systems.

Now, this Lego Suzuki Jimny has spread all over the internet and is even sold by different suppliers. However, we want to give credit where credit is due: Filsawgood Lego Technic Creations. Now, you can buy the plans for the MOC (short for My Own Creation) online or even order the whole thing. We found a company that can ship you all the parts and the plan for $120. And while that's a lot of money to spend on toys, this isn't exactly a simple kit.

Apparently, there are a few hundred Lego bricks in this kit, which is a 1/10 scale version of the real thing. It measures about 35cm long, 20cm wide and 21cm tall. The part around which everything else was probably referenced is the 1.55 DC Chequered Flag all-terrain A/T tires, which honestly look a little big for the car.

There are other bits that make this an accurate Jimny replica, like the solid rear axle, the locked diff, headlights that actually work and more. Knowing how far Lego technology has evolved, we're not surprised that it steers or can be remote-controlled via an app. Power, meanwhile, comes from either a BuWizz brick, which is designed for RCs and has pins on top or AAA Lego battery box.

In a way, it's even cooler than the Jimny because it's so off-road ready. Just look at it doing its thing.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
