Waze has announced another limited-time update for iPhone and Android users out there, this time as the company is celebrating Pride Month across the world.
Therefore, the latest version of the app introduces the voice of none other than Boy George, who will provide you with special guidance, as well as with some words of advice, as you run Waze to figure out a faster way to reach your destination.

Worth knowing, however, is that the voice of Boy George in Waze is just a limited-time update so the application will revert to your original settings at the end of June.

Enabling Boy George as your travel companion in Waze only comes down to a few taps. Just make sure you’re running the latest version of Waze, launch the app, and expand the main menu. You should see a new Boy George voice, which, when tapped, allows you to enjoy some “tea time with Boy George.”

In addition to this special voice, Waze has also added a special Pride playlist with songs from Nina Simone, Pet Shop Boys, David Bowie, Madonna, Bob Dylan, Amy Winehouse, and several others. The playlist is hosted on Spotify, and users can listen to all tunes thanks to the direct integration in Waze right from within the app.

And last but not least, this limited-time update also includes two new vehicles that you can use in Waze (keep in mind that only you can see these), as well as a bunch of new moods, such as zesty, fancy, quirky, and spicy (these ones will also be visible to all the people around you on the map).

Unfortunately, everything announced as part of Pride Month will only last until the end of June, with Waze to return to the typical voice, mood, and vehicle customization package. So no, you won’t be able to continue using anything here beginning with July 1.
