Waze has been working with several partners in the last couple of years, not only for features that would eventually improve the way the navigation system works but also to improve the app's overall experience.
And the integrated audio player has received quite a lot of love lately, with several new services being integrated into Waze, including the likes of Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, and others.

Today, another service joins the list of those playing nice with Waze, as the audio player has been updated with support for Audible.

Audible is such a beloved brand with a huge catalogue of content and we’re thrilled to be able to bring it straight to their drives. Our users have already driven over 100 billion kilometers while listening to content from streaming services on our Audio Player, and we can’t wait to bring this experience to even more users thanks to our collaboration with Audible,” Adam Fried, Head of Global Partnerships at Waze, said in a press release (also embedded below).

Listening to an audiobook on Waze comes down to just a few taps, as you simply need to tap the music note icon within the app and then select Audible from the rest. You should then see content from Audible, and the playing controls would show up on top of Waze as you navigate.

The new feature is available on both Android and iPhone, and the Waze team says it’s rolling out as we speak to devices across the world.

Audible is currently one of the most popular audiobook apps on mobile devices out there. It’s the home of over 600,000 audio programs that subscribers can listen to no matter the platform they’re using. The app also comes with support for Android Auto and CarPlay for a driving optimized experience in vehicles that offer such capabilities.
