Now there’s a app for your smartphone that can do just that if you live in the US. It’s called Waze and version 3.2 launched about a week ago comes with some interesting upgrades.
The app, available now in the Apple Store can tell you gas prices in your general area via the navigation screen or, if you’d like, along a chosen route. This will ensure you don’t pay too much for gas if you’re in unfamiliar territory.
Waze also provides a list of participating gas station chains that offer savings for app users - BP, Exxxon, Hess, and Shell.
