Waterwolf Electric Surfboard Reaches 21 mph and Comes With a Shark Shield

No waves to push your board? No problem, it’s electric. The Waterwolf Electronic Surfboard is that one toy every dude who loves water sports should have. It’s a German-made electric board, part surfboard and part personal watercraft, that will make you swell like a dolphin. Best part is, you won’t even need waves for that.

The Waterwolf MXP 3 is a newly developed sport device that combines modern technology with the class and simplicity of a surfboard. As opposed to a normal board, you can take this environment-friendly baby on lakes and rivers. It zips across flat water and can reach speeds up to 21mph (35km/h). According to its creators, it was designed for the surf fans that live hundreds of miles off the coast.

The Waterwold features many security components including temperature control, emergency shut off system, a protective band and a shark shield. The sailing speed setting is infinitely adjustable via a start button or the mobile bluetooth and pressure sensor controlled throttle-lever.

Weighing 50 pounds (23 kg), the electric surfboard comes with a standard battery that will run for about 20 minutes. The battery takes 3.5 hours to charge and the propulsion is done by a water-cooled, extremely powerful E-motor (external rotor) with controller, made in Germany.

If the video below won’t convince you to like it, then you can always try the real deal. You are going to go all the way to the south of Germany, in Wellenberg, to do that, but you never know, right?
