Watching a Drum Roller Crush Stuff Is More Relaxing than Expected

If you’re anything like me, then you probably like to watch stuff getting destroyed every once in a while. I don’t know, I’m probably finding comfort in seeing other people let off some steam, but the truth of the matter is, for some reason, I always found drum rollers interesting.

I guess it’s their imposing size and the fact that they seem indestructible that attracts me. It’s quite intoxicating to know that you are driving something that can basically flatten everything in front of it.

And that’s exactly what the guys from National Geographic did a while back with a Dynapac twin drum roller. They went over a couple of things that you’d usually see around you.

First off, they started the party with a couple of soda cans and some Coke bottles. That’s nothing a drum roller can’t handle as I have a pretty wild guess that even my car will be able to flatten those.

Then came some water mattresses that simply stood no chance whatsoever and they were followed by a toilet and even an old piano. Yes, the piano stood its ground a little better but it was still no match for the 17-ton monster powered by a 228 HP engine.

In the end, to prove just how puny we are in front of such a massive machine, the guys went over blocks of concrete. Yes, they actually crushed the curve and it was a display of might and possibly a little magic too. Check it out!
