You don't have to be a football fan or even like Volvos to appreciate the latest ad for the V90 called "Prologue" and featuring Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Not only that, but the soundtrack
I wasn't either of these things when he filmed an icy ad for the XC70 way back in January 2014. In fact, I barely knew who he, but now I can't stop talking about Volvo and the way this Swedish brand revived itself.

In many ways, the V90 is a perfect symbol, a quirky flagship wagon that refuses to do things the way the Germans say they should be done. The engine is small yet powerful; the design doesn't look like a sportscar.

From now on, Volvo will have to focus on much smaller cars, such as the V40, so it's the last opportunity they have to be boastful.

The ad campaign "Prologue" follows the current striker of Paris Saint-Germain as he looks back at his heritage, his humble beginnings and the determination to become the best.

“I’m happy to be working with Volvo Cars again. I’ve seen the new cars, I’ve driven and tested them. And I think they’re fantastic. Just like me, Volvo have gone their own way and dared to think differently. The previous campaign we did was good, but this time it’s Made by Zlatan,”
said Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is a fan-time driver and fan of Volvo.

As cool as the V90's Large Animal Detection system may be, such an epic commercial would be impossible without original music composed by Hans Zimmer. In my case, this composer needs no introduction, but Volvo insists that we mention he's a world-renowned and Academy Award-winning artist.

From the Gladiator to the Dark Knight and Interstellar, Zimmer has worked on every film that I've felt the urge to watch a second time. "I’ve always been a fan of Swedish icons such as Abba and Zlatan, so doing this project with Volvo Cars and Zlatan made me experience the best of Sweden. Working together has been truly rewarding," he says.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
