A guy called Jürgen Henn had the bright idea to install multiple camera around a low bridge back in 2008. The result is a festivity of crashes involving truck drivers who ignore the warnings are crash straight into the top of a railroad crossing.
Fortunetely, the railroad engineers installed an 11-foot-8 clearance trestle just ahead of the bridge, so the bridge itself is never affected, but the crashes are spectacular. The bridge even has its its own dedicated website, 11foot8.com, and a Youtube channel.
Its preferred victims are the inexperience drivers of rental box trucks, the ones you get when you want to move your furniture cheaply. Henn says the crashes are so frequent and severe that the railroad company has already had to replace the top beam once. This soon-to-be-famous bridge endures all and fights back to the sound of the theme song from the Rocky movie. Enjoy!
