Watch This Cop Lose It Over a Driver Knowing His Rights

A video uploaded on Facebook Saturday by driver Ryan Scott shows how the average road safety check turns into veritable military boot camp, after the man respectfully shows he knows his rights. Even though the officer is warned he’s being taped with the camera installed on the dashboard, this doesn't seem to deter him from acting all crazy.

The video of this pretty questionable road side safety check was taken in DeKalb, Illinois and, in less than three days, managed to get almost 3,000 shares on Facebook. It’s no wonder it did, considering the footage is bare proof of the way police officers should not react to a person that knows their rights and is not afraid to show it.

The driver was obviously scared he’ll get beaten up so he forgot to ask the officer’s name, but luckily no one was injured and they finally let him driver away. This is what the man wrote along the video:

I was just stopped at an unconstitutional checkpoint in DeKalb, Illinois. This was Illinois State Police conduction the unconstitutional searches. You won’t believe how this just went down! I completely forgot to ask for name and badge number because this guy scared the shit out of me. He was not aware that he was being recorded when he ripped my door open. Unbelievable! This kind of misconduct and behavior is not acceptable. This is what happens when you exercise your Constitutional Rights as a law abiding American citizen,” says Ryan Scott.

Skip ahead to around the 3:30 mark, that is where the “action” starts.
