Since the guys from Motorvision had the chance to test one of the best X5 models (in our humble opinion) they didn't miss the chance to film some of the most interesting features of this car.
When you first lay your eyes on the 2,225 kg (4,905 lbs) beast you might think it's just too big. After a couple of seconds you start wondering what kind of beast of an engine could possibly power this creation.

Well, the X5 M50d is powered by a small 3-liter 6-cylinder diesel unit. However, even thought the cubic capacity is so small, the power output isn't. The engine has 3 turbochargers that squeeze 381 HP out of it along with 740 Nm (545 lb-ft) of torque.

With those numbers, the car is not only fast, it's blazing fast, despite it's weight. It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.4 seconds while also keeping the fuel consumption down to 7.5 l/100km (31 mpg).

In case you don't believe us, watch the clip from Motorvision, where the X5 M50d doesn't just go up to 100 km/h (62mph) but all the way up to 200 km/h (124 mph) in just a matter of seconds. Impressive.
