McLaren will be forever remembered in automotive history for one car in particular - the awesome F1 they made in the late 1990s. Now, though, they want to make their mark yet again with another stunner - the new P1 hypercar.
In this video, posted by Marchettino, we can see the actual unveiling, as in the removal of a veil from atop the car, with a few short words by Ron Dennis, McLaren’s Executive Chairman. The video also shows the car from multiple angles, and finally the massive rear wing in action.
With a power to weight figure of over 600 hp/ton, F1-style DRS (Drag Reduction System) and some of the best automotive engineers in the world behind it, it will definitely give the upcoming Ferrari hypercar a run for its money.
We must also mention its alien-esque styling, which takes the design of the MP4-12C to a whole other level, with more pronounced curves and shapes, it really looks the part. We particularly like the two slats in the bonnet, which are reminiscent of the Ferrari F50.
