While the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show was showing off the latest technology and automotive concepts, a few kilometers further in the Jingu-Gaien park, Toyota held its Classic Car Festival, celebrating the automotive world of the past.
Organized by the Toyota Automobile Museum, the show aimed to promote car culture and encourage interaction among car fans by showcasing vehicles from as many automakers as possible.
The festival begun with a crosstown parade led by a 1960 Toyopet Crown. More than one hundred vintage cars took on the morning Tokyo traffic on a seven-mile course around the city.
After they returned, visitors had the chance to get up close and personal with the vast variety of classic cars parked for display, while also being able to vote for their favorite, which turned out to be a 1968 Lamborghini Miura.
