As we reported, Canada's Lito Sora electric superbike made its debut at the Montreal Motorcycle Show, February 28-March 2, and here’s a nifty walkaround video of this very interesting machine.
Lito Sora will be sold at CAD 46,399 ($42,375 or €30,825) a pop, making it not only a green bike, but an expensive one, as well. While the debates on how expensive some electric two-wheelers are could go on until the next year’s Montreal show, it looks like Sora was created for people who can afford it.

Tipping the scales at 260 kg (574 lbs) and reaching a top speed of 190 km/h (118 mph), this bike is not the lightest, nor the fastest of the lot. Still, it’s the design and overall looks which may play an important role in selling it. For starters, it’s the 5.5” (14.2 cm) display integrated in what used to be the fuel tank of conventional, internal combustion engine bikes, with GPS and plenty of riding data available at a glance.

Then we should also mention the electronically-adjustable seat and keyless starting, two features which rather belong to the future of motorcycling. Add in the hassle-free and zero-maintenance belt final drive, modern, off-set, single-shock rear suspension and the 200 km (124 miles) range on a single charge of its 12kWh battery pack for a better picture of the whole package.

Definitely not competing with the likes of Brammo or zero in the popular e-motorcycle segment, we’d rather place the Lito Sora in the same niche with the Lotus C-01, Horex VR6 Café Racer 33 Limited and so on.
