Hennessey seems to be suggesting that its entry-level HPE 500 package for the 2014 Corvette Stingray is enough to have a ton of fun, with the company offering the adjacent video as proof.
The clip shows the HPE500 ‘Vette pulling a hefty burnout, as well as offering us a few pieces of delicious acceleration, all with a great soundtrack.
The HPE500 kit takes the Corvette from its stock 460 HP and 465 lb-ft to 507 HP and 518 lb-ft. The extra muscle comes thanks to the use of stainless steel headers, high-flow catalytic converters, as well as an ECU remap.
The package also includes carbon fiber door sills and a few badges here and there, being offered with a three-year or 36,000 miles warranty.
And if 500 HP doesn’t seem enough, the tuner offers multiple kits that go up to 1,000 HP. Of course, doubling the power means they also offer suspension and brakes upgrades to cope with this. However, Hennessey is only set to upgrade 500 cars belonging to the 2014 model year.
