From April 25th to 27th, the Osceola Heritage Park located in Kissimme, Florida hosted the Goodguys All American Nationals car show. In addition to more than 1,500 vehicles on display, the Osceola County event also featured the entertaining Goodguys Autocross, chuck-full of precision hooning from all sorts of cars.
Founded more than 30 years ago by hot rodder Gary Meadors, Goodguys accounts for the world's most numerous hot rodding association. It currently has more than 70,000 active members scattered in all four corners of the Earth.
More than 200 American vehicles of all years, body styles and sizes participated in the driving tour the day before the Florida-based event officially started, visiting local hot rod shops and other points of automotive interest.
However, the centerpiece of the Goodguys All American Nationals car show in Kissimme was, as expected, the large display of cars. The event spotlighted a great diversity of customized American muscle, ranging from Lil' Deuce Coupes ('32 Ford hot rods) to '60s and '70s Mopar and Shelby offerings.
As for the Goodguys Autocross, this is an electronically timed vehicle agility race, where competitors test their driving skills against the clock. This stage's best performer was a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette driven by Danny Popp, which achieved a best time of 28.865 seconds.
