When you own a Ferrari, there are certain times the car makes you feel like it is actually the one owning you. On weekend mornings, Maranello’s minions like to wake their humans up and lure them into a drive. This is probably what recently took place with certain members of the Ferrari Club of America, who met up in Colorado and stretched the legs of their supercars on the sublime mountain roads in the area.
The drive saw over a dozen Prancing Horses meet up in Denver in order to kick off a trip to Aspen (200 miles or 320 km away) and back - while the aforementioned distance is true for when one is willing to use point-A-point-B transportation, the Ferrari drivers obviously went to the longer, or should we say twistier, routes.
Like we said, this wasn’t one of those massive meets where Prancing Horses come together in mind-blowing cars, but the gathering was enough to generate a special atmosphere - you know, the kind that raises the hair on the back of your neck when you’re hammering it.
As for the participating cars, the vast majority where V8s, with the line-up starting from the F355 and continuing to the 360 Modena, F430 (a Scuderia was on the list) and, of course the 458. At the two power extremes we can find a California and a 599 GTB.
