Watch the Exclusive Norton Domiracer and Tremble to Its Roar

For some younger riders, Norton is a name only associated with old machines, many of them rotting into oblivion in some forsaken English barn, but the brand is in fact more lively than ever. The lucky chaps at MCN got a chance to test ride the Norton Domiracer machine, a bike which is crazy-expensive and crazy-rare.

Even though the (now) Donnington Hall-based manufacturer is producing larges series of bikes, it looks like Norton has not strayed from the old-school recipe, and the Domiracer simply carries on the heritage. There is not too much technical info on this particular build, but we can expect it to be a top-notch hand-built piece of road-terrorizing machine.

The bike should also be on the very light side, with its custom trellis swingarm and rear monoshock, and I guess that racing-spec suspensions are in the game, as well, most likely Ohlins. The oversized front rotors are there for a reason, and choosing dual radial Brembo calipers hints us that we’re not dealing with a farty old bike.

And if really brutal sound is on your fav list, those MotoGP-style silencers are most likely to put a broad smile on your face. Short, crammed and very evil, with all its retro looks, the Norton Domiracer is definitely a Guinness-like item: you either love it or you hate it, tertium non datur. Not sure about the price, but some rumors brought in the €30,000 ($41,000) and this is really steep. Still, I know Norton would sell the small-run batch, if they didn’t already.
