A couple of weeks ago, Bentley sketched the new Continental GT in an official video. This isn't BMW's handiwork, though; it's a guy with a BIC ballpen sitting at his desk somewhere in Korea.
To be honest, we don't love the new X7 concept, and it has nothing to do with the stupid iPerformance badging. We're not alone either, as it's been called the start of another Bangle era. And that's funny because even Chirs Bangle is criticizing BMW now.

The automotive industry as a whole is going through some tough times right now, as many companies are trying to transition both to electrification and getting rid of the steering wheel. The X7 will obviously try to do a little bit of both.

But at the end of the day, people will just buy it because it's the biggest, most expensive BMW SUV. That badge stands for something: aggression, passion for driving and German engineering (as in powerful engines). But the X7 concept is more about comfort, technology and maybe even off-road capabilities.

Its styling obviously reflects that. However, watching this guy sketch it with the skill of an industrial designer, we noticed a few things. For starters, the new grille has something in common with the latest smartphones. Not only do the edges have that edge look, but the ratio is the same as the new screens - 2:1.

The sketch also manages to flatter the X7 by giving it details down the sides and angrier looking headlights. However, this is more a case of the artist putting his own twist, not a mistake on his part. We can't do anything with a ballpen other than to scribble our names on a piece of paper. So at the end of the day, we have no right to judge anything artistic.
